Cut and Sewn Carpet

Most cars manufactured before the early 1960s, contained cut and sewn carpet.  The concept of molding carpet had not been established yet.  Cut and Sewn carpet is the process of sowing carpet together in such a fashion to supply bends in the carpet in order to allow it to go over humps in the floor plan.
